Emotional Stories:

Smiles in Tears

Every story from Janseva Trust is a poem—of compassion, courage, and love. These are stories of people who saw a new dawn in the Trust's embrace, whose tears turned into smiles. Let's immerse ourselves in these heartwarming stories;

Sunita Devi: A Mother’s Unwavering Faith
In Budhwa Gram Panchayat Katya, Development Block Rasra, a remote village in Ballia, Sunita Devi’s life was steeped in cold nights of poverty and fear. Her first pregnancy was shrouded in weakness and uncertainty. Her husband’s income from a rickshaw was a dream, let alone medicines. In 2022, Janseva Trust’s maternal and child health camp shone on her doorstep like the sun, as if an angel had brought blessings. Regular checkups, nutrition kits, and the love of volunteers gave Sunita new strength. When her daughter opened her eyes for the first time, a river of tears flowed from Sunita’s eyes, a spark of love. “The Trust not only saved my daughter, but my entire existence,” she says in a trembling voice. Today, Sunita leads village mothers to camps so that no other mother has to go through that darkness. This story is about every mother to whom the Trust gave the sacred light of motherhood.

Ramu Bharti: The Second Morning of Life
Forty-five-year-old farmer Ramu Yadav had become a curse for morning fatigue and recurring illnesses. With neither a doctor nor a hospital in the village, Ramu was preparing to say goodbye to his children’s laughter. In 2020, the Janseva Trust’s diabetes camp came to his village like a sunrise. Tests revealed that diabetes was robbing him of his strength. The Trust not only provided free medicines but also called him every week to check on his health, as if someone close to him was praying for him. Dietary advice and warm encouragement showed Ramu a new path in life. Today, he sings songs in his fields and conducts awareness sessions in the village. “I thought my children would become orphans, but the Trust gave me their smiles back,” Ramu’s eyes sparkled with gratitude and tears. This story is that of every person to whom the Trust gave a second dawn of life.

Kavita Kumari: Flight of Dreams
Kavita, a 22-year-old daughter, was confined within the four walls of her home by society. Even after completing her education, her future seemed like a dark night. In 2023, Janseva Trust’s health volunteer training ignited a spark in Kavita’s heart. She learned first aid and health checkups, and today she is the light of medical camps in five villages. From measuring blood pressure to vaccinating children, Kavita writes a poem of change at every step. “The Trust taught me that my hands can save lives, and my heart can touch the sky,” Kavita’s smile is a dreamy glow. Now she tells the daughters of the village that they too can touch the stars. This is the story of every daughter to whom the Trust gave wings.

Pushpa Devi: The Village Mother
60-year-old widow Lakshmi Bai, affectionately called “Maa” by her villagers, was robbing her children of their laughter due to waterborne diseases. In 2021, the Janseva Trust’s “Clean Water, Healthy Life” campaign unleashed a wave of compassion in her village. Lakshmi, along with the Trust, organized sanitation workshops, repaired hand pumps, and taught children the importance of clean water, just as a mother teaches her children life lessons. Today, children in her village happily attend school, and cases of diarrhea have decreased by 30%. Lakshmi’s wrinkled smile tells a touching story: “I don’t have children of my own, but the Trust has made me the mother of the entire village.” This is the story of every mother to whom the Trust has given a new family.

Radha: A Daughter’s Courage
During COVID-19, 16-year-old Radha fell ill with fever and fear. Rumors about the vaccine spread in the village, and Radha’s family lived in fear. Volunteers from the Janseva Trust embraced Radha’s family, explained the importance of the vaccine, and saved Radha’s life. Today, Radha participates in the Trust’s awareness campaigns and teaches the daughters of her village how to prevent diseases. “The Trust not only gave me life, but also a new sky of courage,” Radha’s eyes shine like stars in the night. This is the story of every little heart that the Trust freed from the darkness of fear.

Prakash, a 50-year-old laborer, carried the burden of a family and the pain of an unknown illness. His breathing was heavy, and every night was spent in fear, wondering if he would see a future for his children. In 2024, a Janseva Trust medical camp came to his village, and tests revealed that high blood pressure was slowly taking his life. The Trust provided free medicines, regular checkups, and loving support. Today, Prakash is not only healthy but also works as a volunteer with the Trust, spreading light into the lives of others. “The Trust has made me a father to my children again,” Prakash says, a father’s pride and gratitude evident in his voice. This is the story of every father the Trust has brought back to their families.

Mohan Lal: A New Breath of Life
70-year-old Mohan Lal was on the verge of death due to diabetes and heart disease. There was no hospital in the village, and his dreams of moving to the city seemed shattered. In 2023, a medical camp organized by the Janseva Trust came like a miracle. Free medicines, regular checkups, and the love of volunteers—Mohan found a new direction in life. Today, he is not only healthy, but also cares for his cows through the Trust’s animal husbandry training and dreams for his grandchildren. “I thought my time was over, but the Janseva Trust gave me the opportunity to live with the laughter of my grandchildren,” Mohan says, tears welling in his eyes, reflecting the depth of his gratitude. This story is that of every elderly person whom the Janseva Trust has given dignity and a new life.

To every heartbeat
Sanjay ji’s dream is that every Janseva Trust health camp will become a sacred temple, where every breath is worshipped and the lamp of hope is lit in every heart. By 2025-2030, the Trust will bring a revolution that will connect every village like a family:
Light in every village: From Ballia to Purvanchal (Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh) and the border villages of Bihar. By 2026, a new mobile medical unit powered by digital technology will bring love to every home, as if someone is there to support you in every sorrow.
Digital Compassion: A telemedicine app where every patient will feel the warmth of a doctor over video calls. AI-based diabetes and heart disease monitoring will bring light to thousands of lives.
